    Event Description:
    Atrium Medical Center in Middletown will help boost the blood supply during what has been a challenging flu season by hosting a community blood drive Wednesday, March 1 from noon to 4 p.m. The Community Blood Center Bloodmobile will be at One Medical Center Drive near the ambulance entrance to the Emergency Trauma Center.
    Everyone who registers to donate will receive the CBC “Kiss Me – I Donate Blood” St. Patrick’s Day t-shirt. 
    Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com or call 1-800-388-GIVE.
    A significant number of potential donors have been unable to give blood this winter because of widespread cases of flu and other seasonal illness. If you must miss an appointment to donate please reschedule when able. Community Blood Center specifically encourages eligible donors to help with the need for type O positive and type O negative whole blood donations and type A/B platelet and plasma donations.
    Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past donors are also asked to bring their Community Blood Center donor ID card. Donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health.
