Making Connections, Building Community, and Leading the Way!
In today’s World, business leaders are challenged to be more productive and proactive in their organizations and engaged in their communities. An important part of those challenges is to look at “the big picture” by searching out opportunities to better connect to the community where one lives and works every day. The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to help you discover just what Middletown, Trenton, and Monroe offer, as well as what opportunities exist for business leaders. You are invited to enroll in the Chamber’s Leadership program.
With more class time and topics covered, our Leadership program is taking more exciting steps forward each year! The program is divided into three major themes: understanding and improving personal leadership skills, understanding the regional business climate, and envisioning the future for our area. The Class will meet current community leaders and hear how they are addressing important issues, as well as tour local facilities to get a first-hand experience of the work underway. This program is a must for anyone who wants to make a difference!
At the end of the program, you’ll also be inspired to take on leadership roles that help to solve those issues that matter most. Even more importantly, you will have a collection of Leadership Alumni to call upon for future projects or problems that you face in the business world. Considering that the class has graduated State and Federal Legislators, Judges, Mayors, City Managers, CEOs, Physicians, Non-Profit Executives, City Council Members, and Board of Education leaders in its twenty-five plus years, you’ll have a wealth of resources within your reach.
In an application packet at the Chamber office, you will find the goals and objectives for this program, as well as a schedule for classes. The class will be limited to 25 participants from the local business community, and will be chosen to represent a variety of community and economic interests.
